“Hold the Line” Low-Key Dance Pop Single

Been meaning to post the latest dance pop single “Hold the Line’ for a while now. Don’t know why I held it back for so long.

    Oh well…

Hold the Line — Dance Pop Track

Don’t have a lot to say about this dance pop single. I like it, it was just difficult to bring forward and figure out where the tempo was. I say low-key because it finally feels that that’s where it landed. Everything else felt too fast. This feels almost laid back

Hold the Line – Dance Pop Single

    Lyrics

    you have to ask yourself

    what is there

so why do i keep trying

    it seems unfair

    i’m so tired now

    but i get up

what does this all mean now

    i don’t give up

    do you hide yourself

    with no one there

    believe in what you do

    when no one cares

    are you really here

    i can’t decide right now

if i should hold the line

if i have faith in you

    will you hold my hand

    will you prop me up

    through this trying time

we all need to get up (now)

    if somethings’ not right here

    we’ll move on

don’t give up on our dreams

    we play til dawn

  • Electronic Dance Pop “Massive”

Electronic dance pop original “Massive” was fun to make. Not easy, but fun.

Played it for someone, and she said, “Oh that sounds so… ’80s.” I certainly don’t try to reference a certain genre or time period in my music, but I am certainly influenced by what I call the great awakening of music in my life. In a time when American pop was stale and tired (to my ears anyway) New Order, Depeche Mode and so many others came along and completely turned my world upside down. It was so different than Bruce and Madonna. Wonderfully different.

So electronic dance pop can mean so many things to folks. I love the music made today, but I certainly can’t help that these first electronic bands that paved the way still don’t have sway over my creative approach. Anyway, here’s the song. I’d love for you to give it a listen.

    Electronic Dance Pop Original “Massive”

Is it possible to completely escape what you have heard when it comes to song creation? I don’t think so. I have to continue to listen to a lot of different artists and continue to learn from them. I certainly don’t want to always continue repeating something that has already been heard/done before.

The term electronic dance pop is limited, but for the sake of defining it for those who haven’t heard it before, I will continue to try to use words to describe music. Others can do this much, much better than me.

Again, I hope you enjoy and please feel free to get in touch with any questions. My email is here.

Electronic Dance Pop Original “Massive” Lyrics

(Before you fade away, before you become melody

    you’re gonna break my heart)
    it’s not a distant memory

    were captured from the start

    played our roles til epilogue

    a few acts fell apart
    projecting image on a screen

    for a theater of one

the last reel is a desert scene

where i’m choking on the dust

    you call cut…

before you drift away, before you become memories

    i need to say goodbye
before you break my heart before you light fire to our scenes

I hold you one last time

we lived inside a cinema the world a movie score

and before the credits start to roll

     you’re walking out the door

  • Dance Pop Original Song – Just Listen

Dance Pop Original Song – Just Listen

Dance pop song – Just Listen came about after an encounter that forced me to rethink a lot of things. I consider myself a sensitive person, someone who takes in and even feels a lot of the surroundings, and do my best to add context to my day to day interactions. After one in particular, I realized I wasn’t as adept at this as I thought. and the dance pop song Just Listen was born.

    Just Listen – p.m.warner

For a little more behind how dance pop song Just Listen came about, I have to make a confession. I’m not as good at communicating as I thought. And in this case, communicating wasn’t what was needed. I don’t like to see people hurting and offered advice or what I thought were solutions before I realized that this person just needed someone to listen — to hear her concerns and have an outlet. I had a hard time with that because that’s exactly what this person needed and I was oblivious. Until a few hours later when I realized that sometimes I just need to “shut up and listen.” That’s the song’s chorus. It’s not being said to anyone else but myself.

Dance pop can be a funny thing. Many think of it as a light and fluffy song form, whereas I really look at it as an opportunity to explore the areas of life we can’t just talk about in everyday conversation. Loneliness, depression, bullying, suicide, isolation, substance abuse. All these things I know many grapple with daily and the areas I need to explore in my music.

On another note, sorry about inserting dance pop at random areas in the conversation. SEO.

Dance Pop – Just Listen – Lyrics

Well this is a song for the lonely

And this is a song if you’re down

This is to say i’m listening

    cause we’re all here now

    oh we’ve all been lonely

    and we’ve even been afraid

    We’ve also all felt helpless

Thinking no one hears the pain

    Shut up and and listen

    just shut up and listen

    please shut up and listen

    Not saying this is easy

    i’m not saying fade away

    Just saying that i’m listening

    Only saying it’s ok

    But I’ll be here waiting….for the day…

    Shut up and listen

just quiet and listen…to the pain

This is a song for the lonely…it’s ok to be afraid

“Honestly” – Listen To A Dance Pop Single

Dance pop single “Honestly” is a straight up, three minute 129 BPM song I hope you enjoy. I didn’t know what to think of it during its creation. I’m still not sure of it, but I’m putting it out there anyway.

    “Honestly” by p.m.warner

Dance pop single “Honestly” started out with too much thinking. I sometimes wonder if I think or care too much sometimes. Every now and then the introspection results in feeling bad about something that may or may not be a true reflection of what actually happened, as memories can be deeply flawed. And sometimes, I would encourage you to take a look at at what you’re thinking or feeling and honestly assess whether there’s anything else that can be done to resolve the issue. If not, then maybe it’s time to let it go. Maybe it’s time to not let it have such a hold anymore! That’s the basis for the song.

    Dance Pop Single “Honestly” Lyrics

    Honestly

Well it’s been too many years now since I loved to play the game

It’s OK to be so honest but it hurts me all the same

All the voices in my head will tell me I’m the one to blame

Well this sounds a little crazy but it’s credit to your aim

It’s so easy to get up there and rent space inside my head

By acknowledging the thoughts that should be left behind for dead

Now we’re feeding the emotions I don’t really care to dredge

Just a broken way of thinking that I’ll push down to the end

    Now…

If you’re tired of the past controlling everything you do

Then I’m sure you’ll understand this if you’re ready for the truth

That your time is well worth standing for the things you need to say

In the end we open up our arms to lives we want today

    Well…Honestly

I should not care at all

    Honestly

    I turn away

It’s been way too many years now and you loved to play the game

It’s OK to be so honest but it hurts you all the same

All the voices in your head will say that you’re the one to blame

And I know that its not easy but you don’t deserve the shame

    And

    Honestly

You should not care at all

    Honestly

    You turn away

    Honestly

I could not care at all

    Honestly

    I look away

Well I’m not saying that it’s right or wrong

But that it’s all we need today

Dance Pop Song — End Of Yesterday

End of Yesterday — A Dance Pop Song

End of Yesterday is a new dance pop song. It is a brisk track acknowledging the past and embracing the present.

The past will always be there. Sometimes it’s hard to deal with, especially when alone or at night. This song is meant to shed light on those feelings and reveal them for what they are. It’s important to move on, but at the same time, without acknowledging some of the pain, it’s very hard to heal. I hope you enjoy the song. It is a good dance pop song that adheres to something I’ve always leaned into, “dancing with tears in my eyes” It isn’t an original idea – Ultravox came up with this a long time ago.

    End Of Yesterday — Lyrics

    End Of Yesterday

What you going to do now

    Have no way to know

    What tomorrow holds and

    Help me is it so

    I’ve got to go

What are you trying to say?

I know I’ve let you down

And you can say the same

    Where are we now?

What should be said or done

I don’t know what to say

    Guessing I’m the only one

    What is it now?

    The thoughts begin to flow

    The only thing I know

    I’m through with yesterday

    I’ll throw it all away

    Best to move along now

    Nothing else to say

    Feelings can’t be certain

And there’s nothing we could save

    Imagining

    That on another day

    Our liquid future builds

And I only think to say

    “How are you now

    I guess I’m doing fine

    The weather’s not too bad

    I’m thinking we’ll get rain

    I didn’t know

    How is that better life?”

    We better let this go

    I’m through with yesterday

    I’ve thrown it all away

    For a new slate

    I’ll do anything

The time has weakened pain now

But still don’t want to know

    What tomorrow holds and

    Hope it lets me go

    I’m feeling low

    With everything today

I know I let you down

But you could say the same

    It’s over now

    There’s nothing left to say

    Trying to be here

    Attention for today

    What happened then?

To thoughts that used to flow

    I didn’t think I’d say

    I’m through with yesterday

    I’ve thrown it all away

    For a new slate

    I’ll do anything

    I’m through with yesterday

    I’ve thrown it all away

    For a new day

    I’ll do anything
